That heat

Day 21

The heat in today's class was unbearable. I could do nothing else but pray that the teacher would open the door, or that the people leaving the room would be so kind as to leave the door open a crack. When classes get this hot, people tend to sit down a lot. It is kind of like a yoga strike; usually the teacher will take the hint and open the doors a bit. Tonight's teacher has been notorious lately for over-heating the room. I have made a few comments after class and have been told to get over it. It is really frustrating. I was enraged that I could not do camel. It was just too hot! I know that complaining about the heat is taboo among Bikram practitioners- it is almost as bad as talking during class. It was frustrating because my class got off to a rocking start. I felt great and then somebody complained that it was too cold, so it got cranked up. When I go to other studios, the room is never as close to how hot it is in Quincy. I really wish there was a limit to it! The thermometer that the teachers use is located by the window- which is at least 5 degrees cooler than the rest of the room. Growl....

  1. 8 More Days! YAY! I felt so enegized after class this morning (with Sarah) so I went for a short run (3.5 miles). From doing this challenge I have noticed a positive change in my breathing during my runs. My lungs use to have a tough time opening open 1st mile. Now they open right up! 8. MORE. DAYS. Almost done Liz :)
